ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT FOR CHILDREN

It is essential to ensure proper growth and development of your child’s teeth so that your child does not have to undergo extensive orthodontic treatments or oral surgeries in future. Along with the American Association of Orthodontists, we recommend that a child receive their first orthodontic screening by the age seven. By then, your child’s teeth and jaws have developed enough to where subtle problems can be spotted with jaw growth and emerging teeth. While orthodontic treatment most often begins between the ages of 9 and 14, some orthodontic problems are easier to correct if they are treated early without any extensive surgery.  At Rejuvenate Dental Arts in Bethel,  we treat your kids with the widely used Two-Phase Orthodontic Treatment to straighten your child’s teeth and create a functional bite.

EARLY ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT ENABLES DR. CARBONELLA TO:

  • Correct and guide the growth of jaw to help the permanent teeth come in straight
  • Regulate the width of the upper and lower arches
  • Create more space for crowded teeth
  • Avoid the need for permanent tooth extractions later in life
  • Correct thumb sucking and help improve minor speech problem

Dr. Carbonella knows it is not easy for parent to know if their child may need to see an Orthodontist. Please contact our office to schedule an appointment for an orthodontic evaluation. Early treatment will give your little one a healthy, beautiful smile for the future.
