Thanks to our state-of-the-art digital | diagnostic technologies, we continue to stay ahead of the curve in dental science and technology. Patient feedback on digital x-rays has been very impressive.

Our efforts to communicate better with our family of dental patients now include internet/on-line apointment requests, e-mail and cell phone/texting options. About Dr. Kessler

After serving with distinction in the United States Air Force Dental Corps at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois, Dr. Kessler opened his family dental practice in Bethel in 1979.

Dr. K serves on the Board of Directors of the Bethel Visiting Nurse Association (he served as President of the board for 4 years). For many years has has been a proud sponsor of Bethel's legendary July 4th "John DeMille Firecracker Road Race" as well as sponsoring a Bethel Baseball Assocation T-ball team. Dr. K is a welcome frequent guest at local nursery and public schools, delighting the children with his sense of humor, rubber chicken, flying monkey and "Spritzer, the Dog" all while teaching the importance of good dental health.

Dr. Stanley Kessler was graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry, received his Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College, and attended James Madison High School in Brooklyn. He is an avid NY Mets and NY Jets fan.

Dr. K and his wife Penny (an equally avid NY Yankees fan) have lived in Bethel since 1985; their three children are proud graduates of the Bethel Public Schools.

Office Manager and Receptionist

Cindy has been with Dr. Kessler since 2001. She is a graduate in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Her specialty is helping our patients in all the business-related aspects of their dental care; Cindy is an insurance expert who will be able to answer - or find the answer - to all your insurance/financial questions. In January 2016, 
Cindy received her Certificate of Completion for CareCredit.
She enjoys party planning, cooking, traveling, music, theater and tennis and roots for the NY Giants and Yankees. Cindy adores her three children and four granddaughters; her beloved husband Peter passed away on July 23, 2010, after 41 years of marriage.


Cynthia Csengery

Certified Dental Assistant

Cindy is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and has been practicing dental assisting for over 30 years.
She enjoys the theater and old movies and is an avid "I Love Lucy" fan.
Cindy was born and raised in Norwalk, CT, and presently resides in Danbury with her husband.



Randy Downes

Registered Dental Hygienist

Randy grew up in Bethel and has been at Dr. K's since February 1994; he received his professional training at Tunxis Community College/ UCONN Health Center. Thoroughly experienced in all areas of dental healthcare, his goal is to consider the whole individual, believing that there is no "one size fits all" in dentistry. He enjoys motorcycling, "quality" beer, home improvement, cooking, watching boxing and adoring his five grandchildren. Randy lives with Diana, his wife of more than 30 years, in Sherman.

Dawn joined our staff in 2017, and we are delighted that she's part of our team!

Fran Mendonca

Registered Dental Hygienist

Fran's career in dental hygiene began as Dr. Kessler's dental assistant in 1999. In 2003, Fran entered the Dental Hygiene program at Tunxis Community College/UCONN Health Center. She returned to Dr. Kessler's office as a dental hygienist in 2006, maintaining her skills and knowledge through a variety of continuing education courses. The things she enjoys most about working for Dr. Kessler are meeting her patients and developing professional relationships with them and enjoying the unique music genres and wide range of discussion topics in the office. Fran's hobbies are knitting and reading, and she is a devoted Yankees fan.
